Wait (Levi x Reader) (One-shot)

"Hey, (y/n)..." he spoke to his beloved, but no voice replied.

"Don't feel like talking? Then just listen." Levi said, coming to the conclusion that she won't reply at all.

"The legion has been making progress for the first time in years. Jaeger and the other brats has also been doing a great job on not screwing up the missions and die." he started.

"I accepted Ackerman and Arlert in my squad. They've been showing improvements and I thought they had potential, so why not expand their skills?" he shrugged slightly.

"About those three... Both Jaeger and Ackerman would make great Lance Corporals but there can only be one. Their both strong in their ways and will fight to death just for humanity's justice. As for Arlert, his better off commander. He may not have the strength to fight but he has the brains that would be one of the greatest weapons humanity has to offer." he looked up at the clear blue sky, not a cloud in sight. Letting the warm rays of the sun bath the land.

"Also, have I told you I'm retiring soon?" he asked as he found interest in a blade of grass and played with it between his fingers. "When we finally banish those savages, I'll let the three take over. By then, I'll spend all my free time with you. How long has it been since we enjoyed a cup of tea together?"

As he finishes, he looked down to a gravestone with his lover's name on it. "Of course, you wouldn't answer to anything I tell you. But I'm just glad your here to listen." he sighed heavily, trying to rid himself of the pain building up in his chest. "I'll see you soon, just wait."
