SnK - Fix You (Marco x Reader)

"I'm sorry, we're breaking up." your boyfriend named William told you with a blank expression.

"W-What...? Y-Your joking, right Will?" (y/n) asked, her voice slightly trembling.

"No." he said, nothing more, nothing less. He was serious by his decision, which triggered a forming tear slide down your cheek. You and William had been together for about 2 years now, but you did notice that he was giving you less attention the past few months. "Y-Your cheating on me, a-are you...?" you asked as more tears slide down your cheeks.

"That doesn't matter now, does it? Your not my girlfriend anymore." he emphasized the word 'anymore' as of to rub it into (y/n)'s face.

"Y-Your such an asshole! Burn in hell, you bitch!" (y/n) shouted at him, banging at his chest to hurt him but to no avail. William only pushed her away, making her stumble onto the ground. William turned on his heels and walked out of (y/n)'s house, but as he opened the door, a certain best friend of hers was standing at her porch step, it was Marco.

William gave Marco a glare before turning to (y/n). "Your boy-toy's here, you slut! You as well is cheating at my back without me knowing, your a good liar too, you bi-" his sentence was cut off by Marco punching him hard on his face. He fell to the ground, holding his bleeding nose while looking at the raven with a surprised expression.

"First of all, you don't call your girlfriend a slut. Second, I'm no boy-toy. I'm her fucking best friend!" Marco shouted at him, his hands formed into fists.

"She is NOT my girlfriend anymore, I broke up with her! She's no use for me now, anyway." he said coldly.

Once again, William was taken by surprise as Marco picked him up by his collar and pulled the man close to his face. "Your. Such. An. Ass! Your not welcome here anymore!" Marco said as he violently threw him out of (y/n)'s house and slammed the door shut. Then, he breathed in and calmed himself before walking up to his best friend.

"Are you okay, (y/n)...?" Marco slightly whispered as to not startle the weeping girl.

"N-No.... I... I feel broken, M-Marco..." (y/n) continued to cry into the palm of her hands.

"Sshh... It's alright, I'm here, (y/n)..." he said as he pulled her into a warm and comforting hug. He then placed a kiss on top of her head. He knows how much it hurts to get busted, it's the same as being friend zoned. Marco liked (y/n) for years now, and when he told her that he wanted to take they're friendship into the next level, she only told him that they'd be perfect best friend ONLY. This almost shattered his heart into thousands of pieces, but he pretended that it didn't affect him. Maybe because he didn't get to the point. Maybe because he waited too long.

"M-Marco.." (y/n) said with a trembling voice, snapping the boy out from his deep thoughts. "Can you p-please stay with me... Just for t-tonight...?" she asked, holding in a sob. Marco only smiled and weakly nods as a reply. It was late at night when (y/n) calmed down and is now dozing off in her best friend's arms. Marco then carefully carried you bridal style and went upstairs to your bedroom. He opened the door by his foot and kicked it closed again, he gently put her sleeping form onto her bed. He then kicked off his shoes and crawled onto the bed right next to her, pulling the covers over them.

Marco sighed, stroking (y/n)'s (h/l)(h/c). "If you could just know how much I care for you... How much I love you..." he whispered in a husky voice. As of on cue, (y/n) hugged his wide torso and nuzzled his chest. A dust of pink covering the raven's cheeks. He smiled weakly and place another kiss on her head.

---------------Time Skip to morning---------------

(y/n) woke up, her eyes still slightly burning from all the crying last night. She then realized she was hugging someone, she carefully looked up at the person to not disturb his peaceful slumber. It was Marco.

"M-Marco..." she weakly smiled and started to cry again. This woke Marco up and was panicking on why she was crying. "Oh Marco... I'm not crying because I'm sad.. I'm crying because I realized something." she said, hugging the man close to her.

"W-What?" he asked nervously.

"I realized that, I was so stupid to not notice you were always there for me. From ups and downs, you were there. May I be happy or sad, your always there by my side." she started, Marco was taken aback by this.

He wanted to lighten up the atmosphere so he punched the (h/c) girl lightly on her head. "Finally, you noticed." he stuck out his tongue playfully.

"Dammit Freckles! You really know how to tease me." she chuckled lightly and so did Marco.

"Hey (y/n). Can you give me a chance to fix you?" he asked. She knew exactly what he meant and as a reply, she pecked his lips and smiled, triggering Marco to smile from ear to ear. He then tightly hugged her.

"F-Freckles, Freckles! I-I can't.. Breathe!" she said as she was trying to escape from her not best friend. No, they're not together YET. Of course, he still needs to court her, show her that he has what it takes to make her happy.

"Oh sorry!" Marco let go of (y/n), wearing a sheepish smile.

"C'mon now, make me breakfast, cadet!" (y/n) joked, sitting up on her bed. Marco then stood near the bed and jokingly saluted at her. "Yes ma'am!" he said and marched down out of the room and down the stairs.

Later, they were eating bacon and eggs, each wearing smiles on they're faces. They must've looked like idiots smiling like that with no reasons. Silence filling the kitchen + dining room.

"Hey (y/n)." Marco disturbed the silence. "How many weeks or months does it take to get your hand?" he asked fairly curious.

"Hhhmm.. It shouldn't hurt playing hard to get, does it?"
